China Woes

China ships stuff over to the United States regularly.  For over many years now they had many recalls on items made in China shipped to the United States.  They were practically sending poison to the United States.  From what I gather nothing much was done about it except just the recall, and maybe a slap on the hand so to speak.

Now the United States realizes they have a Chinese Counterfeit problem that is out of control. But really it is not the United States Government that notices that Chinese Counterfeits are out of control, it is the US manufacturers that have noticed this.  The United States Government haven't done anything about this problem.  Plus they have not asked China to clean up their act or else we will fine you big.  Basically, no Country has told China to clean up their act or else.

You can read here about the problem, and lack of help combating counterfeit goods: Chinese Counterfeits Costly to US Economy  http://www.theepochtimes.com/n2/content/view/43721/

From what I gather, China acts as though they have no trade rules.  They are free to do what ever they like.  They answer to no one, if they get caught so what.  Make, and play nice, and keep putting out those Michael Jordan shoes, and Gucci bags, and poisoned perfumes, and lead filled child toys.

"American entrepreneurs in the movie, software, and electronic industry, including most U.S. manufacturing companies, have faced an ever increasing deluge of counterfeit products for which they hold intellectual property rights."

Who can help but to think what would happen to someone in the United States that got caught doing this sort of thing! By the time these same companies got through with you ... You would be filling for bankruptcy, and or serving time in a Federal prison.

More from the website: http://www.theepochtimes.com/n2/content/view/43721/

"What the CBP (U.S. Customs and Border Protection Agency) calls fakes do not only violate intellectual property rights, or take jobs away from the rightful manufacturers, but also often contain components that harm the consumer.

In particular, "some of the fakes [perfumes] have been found to contain contaminated alcohol, antifreeze, urine, and harmful bacteria. Additionally, these fakes infringe on intellectual property rights, impugning the reputation of companies and taking jobs away from legitimate industries," according to the CBP."

Cadmium is one of the contaminates.  This poison can cause bone loss, brittle bone, and multi fractures, kidney failure,  severe respiratory problems, or failure. etc.  This poison was put in toys. In 2007 China shipped food with high lead content in them.  2007 was a nightmare for Americans.  Every other day there was a recall on goods from China.  107 total through June of that year.  Total recalls for the year of 2007 were 447.  Read here to see how bad it was.  http://www.wnd.com/?pageId=41966  The last six months of 2007 there was 340 recalls. I know many heads were spinning, and parents everywhere did not know which way was up, because the recalls were fast paced.  Food, pet food, housing materials, toys, furniture, you name it, there probably was a recall. 298 of those recalls were from China.

Here is the list of just toys recalled for the years 2007 and 2008

The list does not include other poisons, and contaminants for other type products.

Hold on to your jaw!

The CPSC recalled a total of 447 products in 2007 for safety concerns. Of those, 298 were manufactured in China. Only 62 were made in the USA. The rest were made in other countries.

In 2006, the CPSC recalled a total of 467 kinds of products – 221 of which were Chinese imports. Only 113 were for products made in the USA.

As recently as 2002, the figures were virtually reversed – with 150 U.S. made products being recalled and just 99 from China.

The FDA inspectors reported tainted food imports from China that were being rejected with increasing frequency because they are filthy, are contaminated with pesticides and tainted with carcinogens, bacteria and banned drugs, and or poisons.

Why is this happening?  Because China has no restrictions on pollution.  They do not have a body of water, or a piece of land in China that is not polluted with one thing, or another, or several things. The whole country has treatment plants to handle only 45% of sewage etc for the entire country.  To combat their pollution, they use drugs in fish, or animals to keep them healthy.  Some of those drugs are banned in the USA.  Other drugs are permitted, but the USA only allows so much of the drug in animals, fish, seafood, etc.

Think about this.  What would you do if you was in the place of this family below?

Retired police officer William Morgan of Williamsburg, VA, lost his home to foreclosure after the family was forced to relocate because of defective Chinese-manufactured drywall in his home, essentially rendering their home unsafe, and worthless. In 2009 83 percent (312) of the 377 recalls announced by the Consumer Product Safety Commission were from foreign manufacturers.
Here is the total list. (This is a pdf)  http://www.justice.org/resources/Recalls_of_CPSC_2009.pdf

The saddest thing of all?

The United States allows it, and does a mediocre inspection of what is coming in.  For the most part there is no way for Americans to sue.  At last known, only a mere 6 to 8% may be less, or a little more is actually inspected when it enters the United States.  It is only when something goes very wrong that the United States goes into high gear to find out why people are getting sick, or the reason adults, infants, and children died. Plus they do not inspect well to see if goods are Counterfeit. Their excuse is there is just too much coming in to the USA to be able to inspect it all.  So we have poisonings that many people never get over, some are sick for the rest of their lives.  We have deaths of all ages, we have loss of property, and finally we have losses in the manufacturing industry do too Counterfeit items.  The major contributor to all of these problems is China.

U.S. food imports rarely inspected   http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/18132087/
As Imports Increase, a Tense Dependence on China   http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=10410111

If it says....  Made in China

Don't buy it, because you are at the mercy of China's dirty manufacturing industry.

or else...

Woe to everyone in the United States including your children.

2010

I have not posted in almost a year.  Not because I did not want too.  I have had one hell of a year.  The bad part of it all is the fact it has not ended as of yet.  I hate 2010 with a passion.  All I have left to say about the year is I will try to get a few post in.  I have one in mind now.   So now you know how good my year has been going... How has your year been?

How to Choose Toys for Autistic Children

Engaging autistic children in play can be a lot more challenging than with non-autistic children. In addition, play needs to reflect both enjoyment for the child, and assist development of specific personality traits and coping mechanisms.

As a American, I do not agree with you President Obama

My notes are in red.

The...

phony war in Iraq or the torture memos that justified waterboarding. It's millions of missing emails and the constant use of executive privilege and signing statements. All of the men and women we sent to Iraq who died... They are not worth it? Their lives lost mean nothing to you?  You can't be very American if you are not willing to fight for our own troops.  4,000+ lost in war, ...remember that.

secretive meetings with Enron and other energy executives and the wholesale firing of federal prosecutors. It's trying to get the president's personal attorney seated on the Supreme Court and that despicable Alberto Gonzales sitting in front of congressional investigators whining, "I don't remember, I don't know, I...etc."  Many are quick to put others away for such acts.  Who got paid off? Someone did, because little was done, and the hearings were a joke. The hearings were there to please the public? Well, guess again.

domestic eavesdropping in violation of the FISA Court, the rendition prisons, and the lying. It's looking the other way while the City of New Orleans drowned and its people were left to fend for themselves. This was very un-American. So what was this "really" about?

It's the violations of the Geneva Conventions, the soiling of our international reputation and the shredding of the U.S. Constitution. It's the handing over of $700 billion to the Wall Street fat cats last fall, no questions asked. Even though Bush is no longer in office, this still hurts the reputation of Americans everywhere. As for the missing money, I just think it was Bush's last act of kindness he did for his friends. It had nothing to do about the economy.  I also don't believe Bush loved America. What president does away with our Constitution?

no-bid contracts to firms like Halliburton and Blackwater and the shoddy construction and lack of oversight of reconstruction in Iraq that cost American taxpayers untold billions. Plus the many that lost their lives due too the shoddy construction. They deserve justice.  What a shame, and a terrible loss.

We have no clue to what all the Bush Administration did to our Country.  A lot was done to America behind closed doors.  This is even more reason as to why the Bush Administration should be investigated.

President Obama...  Please open your eyes, who ever is giving you advice, just may have a reason for not wanting that investigation.

You may have many good apples around you, but you have many rotten ones as well. Plus without this investigation you open the door for another President after you to try to do the same as Bush.

  •  Cafferty: Damage will last until Bush-Cheney deeds are addressed  Exactly! This will never go away until it is addressed.

In response that Google is removing user content

First off it doesn't matter if the service is free, it's the ethics behind it.  It's your content, you made it.  All it took was a few strokes of the keyboard for your content to disappear, and no reason given behind it except just to say that the RIAA owns it.

second I believe the law here need to be changed.  If you file a infringement against someone then you should have to say what is "exactly infringing.  With the way the law is set up now.  It can be abused very easy.  All they have to say (or lawyers say)  as just in this case and many more like it is "hey remove it it is violating my music copyright".  Then up steps a content provider like Google that has to remove the source or else they can get sued too.  This is not fair to the public when you leave the public in the dark about what the RIAA is yelling foul over, or anyone else that decides they don't "like your content".    Be open about what's going on and if you decide that certain content is infringing, then tell the blogger or website owner exactly what is infringing.

This is the most biggest thing I have against the copyright laws.  Anyone can cry foul, and service providers quiver and jump to remove the so called content.  I have heard of cases of other people having to remove content, or they had content removed by their provider,  and all they was told is "you were violating a copyright, and I don't have to tell you what content".  "You just need to know what page it is on."  So the owner of the content has to remove the whole page of content because they have no idea what exactly on that page is infringing. In most cases it is just one file, or one URL causing the problem.

Come on people this is the most stupid of laws, and excuses.  This needs to be changed.  Give the public a break here the only ones that are benefiting from this law are the ones that decide they want to infringe upon you because they don't like your content.  Who knows they may be after a monetary gain too.  You could be a rival that they need too squash. What ever the case there is not enough responsible disclosure.  If you have proof, then I want to see it.  Not asking for too much right?

Limbaugh: I hope Obama 'fails'

GASP!
Limbaugh: I hope Obama 'fails'
5:32
Rush Limbaugh says he hopes President Barack Obama fails. CNN's Rick Sanchez takes a closer look.
What in the hell is wrong with this man? If Obama fails then America fails, the people fail, and it does not make for a pretty picture. Lets not forget about what this will do to the world.

President Barack Obama 2009 Inauguration and Address

Very well spoken, and I am sure President Obama raised a few eyebrows. President Obama has his work cut out for him. I am sure he will meet obstacles that will do their best to fight him. His speech was on target for what America has in store for the next four years. He talked too ALL of the people, and acknowledged the many cultures within our borders. Well worth the watch.

Dream a little Politics

  • Candidate Barack Obama Democrat
  • Candidate John McCain Republican

Well the election is almost upon us.  We are down to two candidates. The mud slinging is high on the chart.  The lies are outrageous, and common place.  Even though many Americans never believes the crap spewing from the mouths in the ads.  As always the media is eating it up.  In the meantime our economy is at it's lowest level sense the great Depression.  Don't you just love Politics?  It's the only time a person can say a mouthful, and the mouthful be nothing but a pack of lies and deceit.  It's suppose to sound good.  They get brownie points for everything that comes out of their mouths. Each and every word spewed could mean getting the Presidency or not.

Perhaps they should of set the election up as a major film debut?  Whom ever can get the most words in edge wise in forty minutes that relates to what they "might" like to do for the USA.  Along with their full work history and with paperwork to prove it.  Must have medical history, and any paperwork on shady miss doings rather if you have been convicted or not.  Put it out in movie form, and stay out of the media we just want the facts sheets, and movie. Then distribute the movie world wide.  Free! It should come in a DVD jewel case as well so people can view it twice if they want too. Include the background history paperwork in the jewel case!

Oh shoot! Can't a person dream?  After all that's about all we will get out of these candidates.  We will be lucky to see half of their spewed promises become reality.  The rest is just a mere dream.

            Thanks firefox!

I was part of the world record. I just thought it was so cool that Firefox sent their users a certificate of appreciation for helping them set a new world record. This is part of the certificate. Not the whole thing. Plus I reduced the size because it was very large.

            Thank You Firefox!

NEWS: Gasoline thieves adopt a new drill

Heidi Perkins spent $90 filling up her 2002 Dodge pickup the Friday before Mother's Day and used a quarter of the tank over the weekend. So she was mystified Monday morning when the gas gauge was below "E" as she drove her daughter to school...

THE NEARLY UNFATHOMABLE DEPTHS OF PENTAGON CORRUPTION

This is just ludicrous... Be sure too take your time reading. If this is all true, then the corruption is really bad at the White House. From the page:A former high-ranking member of the CIA, now retired, who was a career employee, contacted us this week. Due to our reporting on Halliburton and their corruption we were given 46 pages of testimony on how Halliburton, the CIA, the Pentagon and Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld have been stealing billions of dollars.

Will Oil Really Hit $200 a Barrel?

It could because media outlets everywhere are conditioning their readers and watchers to the possibility of having $200.00 a barrel oil.  If you look at the news in all of the cities across America they are all saying the same thing.  No one believed that oil could reach $123.00 a barrel, but thanks to the news media hammering into our brains everyday.  It did happen.  Americans everywhere were conditioned into believing it would happen.

It seems every time the news outlets put to pen and paper, and shout it across the airwaves people take it as a reality.  No one has stopped to think of the ramifications for their actions of putting this type news out.  If you say it enough times people believe it, and are conditioned to the act of having the price double and triple in month(s), and weeks time.

It may be time for Americans to step up to the plate, and say, "Enough is enough!"  Boycotts are not the answer to the rising oil prices.  But to hammer down the media, and put less interest into their claims of $200.00 a barrel oil is a better alternative.  If the front page makes bolstering claims of $200.00 dollar oil, then don't buy the paper, and don't listen to it or support their sponsors on TV, or newspapers either.  It could very well be that Americans are being conditioned into believing that we have to accept the fact that oil will rise to $200.00 a barrel.  If you say it enough times then people will start to believe you, and before you know it, people accept the facts as truth.  Then the big oil companies come along and raise the price, because the media said it was going to happen, and because the people have been conditioned into believing it was going too happen, it does.

What would the $6 Million Man cost today?

We can rebuild him, but for how much? Back in 1974, $6 million was enough to buy crashed-astronaut Steve Austin a new arm, an eye, and a pair of legs with super strength and vision.

Pro-Clinton Diggers Try to Bury Jed Report's Latest Video

"Despite that strong positive reaction, shortly after the Bosnia and Back Again video was posted on Digg, some (presumably pro-Clinton) digg users buried the video, despite getting over 300 Diggs. So it seems pretty clear that someone doesn't want people to see this video."The above is on Digg at this time just so you know ahead of time it is not so much about this particular article, but as a whole about what gets to the top in the first place on Digg. Most of Digg's front page is about the smut that gets spread on particular individuals or a certain Country's misfortune, and even maybe a occasional happy story. I can't understand why certain stories make it to the top, and others fail before they get ten diggs. Some stories failed and I really thought they were good, and I thought as a whole the Digg users would want these stories at the top. But it did not happen. Who doesn't want to know that soldiers in Iraq are committing suicide at a alarming rate? I guess Digg users don't. But just so you know... I really have faith in Digg users because I have noticed a few story's that failed the Digg effect were not worthy of making the front page. So as a digg user, I continue to post new stories just like any other Digg fan out there. But I will never hold my breath while waiting for them to make the front page. I will however be more selective in the content I post. :)

Best video explaining net neutrality ever

Individuals invented the internet yet now corporations claim they own own it - they claim it's their private property. If that's true then you don't have free speech online. I disagree - I think free speech in "free speech zones" isn't free: it's *dependent* on having a public place to be heard - meaning public property like the internet. If the big Corps have their way then our Internet will be like newspapers that are owned by just a few, and like radio and television that are also owned by just a few. Remember all the promises they have made to the public, and even to our own Government in the past... They promised us fiber optics, and we got nothing. They promised us fair competition when it came to Internet carriers, and right now we are loosing this big time, They gave us only higher bills, and lower support, and services, and even bad service in many areas. They have only done their best to tell us what we can do so far, and it is just irking them that they don't have more power. Next will be what websites we are allowed to visit, what software we can download, and what entertainment we can venture too. So if you like certain music artist you could end up blocked from viewing them simply because you do not have the "right" ISP. You like sports? Well, you could be blocked from viewing updated sports scores, and media tidbits simply because you do not have the "right" ISP. Look at your radio, your television, and your newspapers, and ask yourself if you want the same restrictions on your Internet? For those thinking that you will find a ISP that wont go for the restrictions, think again. Finding one may be easy, you may put your own own website, or blog on the net, even submit a few videos, but what good will it do if the majority can not see them? Remember how it has been up till now. Certain ISPs and even broadband has not even made it to certain areas, and some areas for years have only had one or two ISPs in their area, and no more have been offered. Now check your own ISP you use for your broadband.... Do you get the upload and download speed that you was promised? If not, then you could be getting penalized simply for not using your lan line phone carrier broadband. They just are not telling you this. This is how the Telephone companies feel about the consumer. They only see the money, they could care less if you like it or not, they own big spots of real estate so they have big plans for you. Only thing is it benefits them, not you.

Bush and the American way, or not

117,000 blogs and such had words to say about the Olbermann commentary which is located here: Olbermann: Bush 'panoramic invasion of privacy' is terrorism  Now I have know there was a few post online that claim that Bush said he wanted to stay in power, and would if he could find a way around it.  Located here is this subject: Bush Quips He Might Stay in Power (Threat Level Plays Along) The article just plays along, but is quick to point out that they did file using the freedom of information act for information from  five Justice Department offices for documents produced or revised after August 2001 "addressing the feasibility, advisability or lawfulness of deferring, rescheduling or canceling a U.S. national election." I guess they didn't want to take any chances just incase if it were to be true.

For your reading pleasure here are a number of articles for you to read:

Intel chair to Bush on FISA: I will not back down to you [This is a must read if you have not done so as of yet.]

Bush Chides Congress Over Spy Law Lapse  The grand finally of them all...

Because of the Spy Law Lapse " The president said. "They are wrong. Because Congress failed to act, it will be harder for our government to keep you safe from terrorist attack."

But what if Bush decides to tell our security structure to take a break leaving us wide open for attack just to prove a point?  Nah maybe not he can't be that stupid... Or can he?  Could he sabotage to prove a point?  Maybe not, or at least lets hope he can't.
Democrats blamed the president,  for "whipping up false fears and creating artificial confrontation."

Everyone knows this is true, all the way down to the president's Secretary.  Plus you can find all kinds of bits and pieces online on a number of subjects that outline what Bush has done so far that could be labeled as illegal.

I brushed up on this subject a few times.

And so you know the scope of things:

So now I hope to put your mind at ease, or at least try too.  I have come across a few that claim because I am bashing the Bush and Company I am not very patriotic.  I have been told I have no right to talk ill of the man because I have not walked in his shoes.  Well, I don't want to walk in his shoes.  But he has walked in yours, and in mine.  Every time he passes a bad law, or even a good one he has done it for you.  When he speaks to other Nations, he does it on behalf of you.  When he speaks to the public, he is speaking to you.  When he addresses the nation it is on behalf of the American Public.  Every good thing he has done, or bad, it reflects on every American citizen as a whole.  So when you allow him to create bad laws, then you are just as bad as he is.

So what are you going to do about it?

            Well you could go here:

This week call or email your represenitive and let them know where you stand on all of these new laws being created.  Plus let them know that you support impeachment if they desire to do so.  Yes they did halt the Bill.  But we are just getting started with the fight, so don't back down.  Call every day if you have too, but don't back down.  Take a stand because they are representing every man, woman, and child in America. Your voice is needed, don't let our Nation down.
